All order size heights DO NOT INCLUDE top and bottom ribs. To figure the size to order based on the existing rough opening OR the inside dimension of the duct the ventilator must fit inside:

ORDER SIZE WIDTH: Deduct a minimum of 1/4" from the opening size width.
ORDER SIZE HEIGHT: Deduct a minimum of 1/2" from the opening size height.

Note #1: You may want to deduct more from the opening to allow for a full mortar joint if the ventilators are being mortared in place. These figures above allow for a standard 1/8" caulk joint on alll four sides of the ventilator and take into consideration the ribs on the top and bottom of the ventilator.

Note #2: Brick ventilators are NOT undersized, therefore EX ventilators will finish 1/4" higher than the order size due to top and bottom mortar ribs. Width will finish true the order size.
